The YAKY (aluminum) and YKY (copper) single-core cables are designed for medium-voltage power distribution in buildings, power stations, open air, ground, ducts, and trays where mechanical damage is unlikely. These cables are built with Class 2 stranded, round, compacted conductors (EN 60228), natural-colored PVC insulation, helically applied copper wire and tape screen, and a durable black PVC outer sheath.

With a rated voltage of 3.6/6 kV and a 12.75 kV test voltage, they support safe operation from –50°C to +50°C, and short-circuit conditions up to +150°C. Fire performance complies with EN 60332-1-2. Suitable for indoor/outdoor use, these cables offer high reliability in 50 Hz systems. Available in sizes from 16 mm² to 1000 mm² (Al) or up to 630 mm² (Cu), with a bending radius of 10 × D.
