The XHAKXS (aluminum) and XHKXS (copper) cables are designed for medium-voltage power distribution with XLPE insulation and a concentric copper screen. Ideal for installations in buildings, power stations, open air, ground, ducts, and cable trays, these single-core cables are constructed using Class 2 stranded, round, compacted conductors (EN 60228), with layers including semi-conducting XLPE conductor and insulation screens, semiconducting nonwoven tape, copper wires and tape screen, polyester tape, and a weather-resistant black PE outer sheath.
 
With a wide operational temperature range from –60°C to +50°C and short-circuit resistance up to +250°C, these cables are rated at 3.6/6 kV and tested at 12.5 kV. They support a maximum conductor temperature of +90°C, are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, and operate at 50 Hz.
