NA2XSEYBY (aluminum) and N2XSEYBY (copper) are 3-core medium-voltage cables designed for power distribution in areas with high mechanical risk. Each core has its own concentric copper screen, making them ideal for use in buildings, substations, open air, underground, ducts, and cable trays. These cables include Class 2 stranded, compacted conductors (EN 60228), XLPE insulation, semi-conducting XLPE screens, semiconducting nonwoven tape, pre-assembled screened cores, EPDM+PVC fillers, galvanized steel tape armor, and a red PVC sheath.
 
Rated 6/10 kV and tested at 21 kV, they operate between –50°C and +50°C, withstand short-circuit temperatures up to +250°C, and support a conductor temperature of +90°C. They are suitable for 50 Hz systems, with installation allowed from –5°C and a bending radius of 15 × D. Available in sizes from 50 mm² to 300 mm² (Al) and 25 mm² to 25 mm² (Cu).

Application Power cables for medium voltage distribution with XLPE insulation and individual concentric copper screen over

Construction 1. Conductor: Aluminum or copper acc. to EN 60228. Class 2 - RMC (stranded, round, compacted);
2. Conductor screen: Semi-conducting XLPE; 3. Insulation: XLPE; 4. Insulation screen: Semi-conducting XLPE;
5. Inner covering: Semiconducting nonwoven tape; 6. Screen: Copper wires and copper tape, applied helically;
7. Assembly of cores: Three screened cores are laid-up (pre-assembled); 8. Filler/inner covering: EPDM+PVC;
9. Armor: Galvanized steel tapes applied with overlap; 10. Cover: PVC sheath (red color).
