COSY wires are designed for overhead power transmission, providing strong mechanical performance and reliable conductivity. The conductor is made of watertight aluminum alloy (type AL3) as per EN 50183, RM stranded and compacted for durability.

A conducting PE screen and thermoplastic PE insulation (natural color) surround the conductor, while a black, weather-resistant HDPE sheath with green tint protects the cable from harsh outdoor elements. The operating temperature range is from -50°C to +50°C, with a short-circuit limit of 200°C and a bending radius of 15D.

Suitable only for outdoor use, these cables can be installed at temperatures as low as -20°C and operate at 50 Hz with a rated voltage of 12/20 kV. With tensile strength of at least 295 MPa, initial elasticity of 61,000 N/mm², and final elasticity of 62,500 N/mm², COSY cables ensure reliable performance. Available in sizes from 35 mm² to 240 mm².
