These medium-voltage power cables are used for distribution systems in buildings, power stations, open air, underground, ducts, and trays where mechanical damage is unlikely. Featuring XLPE insulation and a concentric copper screen, they are suitable for a wide range of environments.
 
They consist of aluminum (AXEKCE) or copper (CXEKCE) conductors (EN 60228, Class 2), semi-conducting XLPE layers for conductor and insulation screening, and a semiconducting nonwoven inner covering. The copper screen is applied helically with wires and tape, followed by polyester tape and a weather-resistant black PE sheath. The cables operate at up to +90 °C with short-circuit tolerance to +250 °C, an installation minimum of –20 °C, and an ambient range of –60 °C to +50 °C. Rated at 12.7/22 kV, with a test voltage of 50 kV, for 50 Hz systems. Offered as single-core cables, from 35–500 mm² (Al) and 35 mm² max (Cu).
